Community Service Initiative: Read to Lead: Bringing Awareness to Speech Impairment Through the Power of Reading.

Education: Sophomore at Elkhorn South High School. Her goal is to attend the University of Alabama to further her baton career as a Crimsonette while following her mom's footsteps by studying marketing and becoming a realtor.

​

Cora created the Read to Lead program with the intent to raise awareness for speech impairments and other communications disorders. She is a published author writing the story "Twirl to the Stars: A Journey Beyond Words". Cora feels literacy is the key to many children overcoming their communications disorders and that no child should ever have to go without the help and resources they need.
