Alayna is at the University of Kansas/University of Kansas Medical Center working towards her Doctorate of Speech-Language Pathology with a research emphasis on reading disorders. She is a Graduate of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln

She is a published author of a children's book "Unlocking Your Superpower" on behalf of Sammy's Superheroes where she is a Board Member. Alayna is also President, Alpha Phi, Alpha Emerging Leaders Institute.
